Macbeth is disturbed profoundly, emotionally tumult, mentally stirred. It was concerned about a strange illness of the Queen, something like sleepwalking. Macbeth orders Macduff's castle be seized, and, most cruelly, sends murderers to slaughter Macduff, as well as Macduff's wife and children.
Macduff and Lennox are at the doors, arriving to visit King Duncan. Duncan is seemingly infallible -- sacred. We do not feel that he does not deserve his fate. Before Macbeth are a series of eight kings, the eighth holds a mirror in his hand, which reflects the endless series of crowns in a double crown and triple scepter a hint of the king of England, Scotland and Ireland — James I Stewart, whose ancestor was just a semi-legendary Banco.
Macbeth also asks whether Banquo's sons will ever reign in Scotland: Therefore, Macbeth was introduced to the concept of murder by Lady Macbeth. His ambition leads to his ruin which is his death by Banquo.

Macbeth is ashamed to kill the king who showered him with mercy under his roof and fears retribution for such an unheard of crime, but the thirst for power does not leave him. Three witches proclaim the praises Banquo — he is not a king, but the ancestor of kings, and disappear. Allegedly in a fit of righteous anger, Macbeth kills not in time to recover.
The third witch told 'hail Macbeth,King'. The second Ghost promises Macbeth that no one born of a woman, will not overcome him in battle. Like those who sought to crucify Christ, Macbeth and his Lady are relegated to mere player status -- they become, if only briefly, instruments whose crime against all of humanity has surpassed their collective motive of ambition; they have done a deed of apocalyptic consequence.
This they do and Macduff gets his revenge by beheading Macbeth. Even though the Plot is never alluded to directly, its presence is everywhere in the play, like a pervasive odor. Among the changes he made were the expansion of the role of the witches, introducing new songs, dances and 'flying', and the expansion of the role of Lady Macduff as a foil to Lady Macbeth.
In contrast, Shakespeare presents Banquo as being noble and good throughout the play, unaware of the ominous plot concocted by Macbeth and his Lady. However, much has happened since it went up, including the Blogger outage. Perhaps in the Shakespearean theatre too it seemed to occupy a longer time than the clock recorded.
Macbeth fought honorably for Duncan against the invading forces at the beginning of Act I. There are stories of accidents, misfortunes and even deaths taking place during runs of Macbeth.
He hung around for hours and, which was worse, kept me from doing my work. He and Banquo agree to discuss the meeting in due course and Banquo and Fleance then depart. Damaged goods constituted part of that which was sold at the auction. This follows the pattern of temptation used at the time of Shakespeare.
